Please read and ensure you agree to the following before purchasing from the site.
The longevity of hair colours sold here are dependent on your hairs colour and condition as well as environmental factors such as exposure to sunlight and, as such, we cannot guarantee that they will last for any specific time period and permanence stated on the site should be taken as a guide. Previous hair colours will affect the end result so please consider this before colouring, especially where attempting to bleach dyed black hair. Always do a strand and sensitivity test before use. Colour swatches shown on the site should be taken as a guide only and therefore you should always perform a strand test before applying the colour to determine the end result.
1 STEP COLOUR will take no responsibility for any unexpected results or adverse effects caused by using the products sold on this site, nor will it be held responsible for damage to textiles or surfaces which may be caused through the use of the products sold here.
Always read the manufacturers instructions before use. Hair dyeing information provided on this site or through correspondence with us is intended only as a guide and should not be interpreted as professional advice. If in doubt please seek professional advice.
We have a list of ingredients and precautions for the products sold on this site. Please read these before purchasing any products. If you have any problems finding ingredients or precautions for a product please contact us and we will be happy to help. Always check the products packaging for an up-to-date ingredients list before use.
Always do strand and sensitivity tests before using any product. Hair colour, bleach and colour removers can permanently stain or lighten surfaces and textiles. We won't be held responsible for damage caused to property by such products.
For orders outside the UK please check the ingredients list for any substances which may be prohibited in your country as 1 STEP COLOUR will not be held responsible for ensuring the products are legal in your country.
Please take out additional insurance if your order total (including postage costs) is above £25. Overseas customers should choose "International Signed For" shipping option for valuable orders rather than standard airmail. If you fail to take out this additional insurance and your package is lost or damaged will not be able fully compensate you.
When returning items it is your responsibility to ensure they are received by us in good condition. You must email us in advance of returning the item(s). We recommend you use Recorded Delivery for small items and Special Delivery for higher valued returns. Please ensure the items are well packed to avoid damage. Returned items must be in a brand new and complete state with no outer packaging, stickers, lids or nozzles removed. If the product has been opened or damaged in any way we will be unable to provide a refund. For full details please see our shipping policy.
Please ensure that your address is full and correct as we cannot refund or replace items sent to an address incorrectly entered by the customer. UK orders must make sure both the house number/name and street name are present along with the post code. We do not use a postcode checker so entering your house number and post code may not be sufficient. If your area requires a phone number to facilitate delivery, please include it in the delivery address field when completing your order.
In the event that an order is returned or lost due to the customer's fault, eg customer failed to collect from sorting office or incorrect/incomplete address, 1 STEP COLOUR will refund the value of the goods only or request that the customer pays the postage costs for re-sending the order.
1 STEP COLOUR cares about your privacy. We will never sell on your details. To facilitate order fulfilment, we may need to share your contact details with our order fulfilment partner. These details will not be shared further.
If you choose to purchase an item we will ask you for more information including:
- your name and address for delivery of your order and for billing
- your email address and telephone number so that we can contact you (we usually only contact by e-mail); - a log-in and password which allows you to log in to update your details, see how your order is progressing and to have an address book for deliveries
We will give you the option to choose if you would like to receive emails from 1 STEP COLOUR about new products and special offers. If you would like to receive these solicitations simply check the appropriate boxes. You can choose to stop participating at any time simply by changing your preferences once you have logged in to your account.
Changing and Updating personal information
Users can change all personal account information by going to the My Account section of 1 STEP COLOUR You can change your address, telephone number, email address, password as well as your privacy settings.
We will keep the information about you and your purchases for as long as you remain our customer. We never store sensitive data such as credit card or banking details. We will not pass your personal information or order history information on to anyone other than our order fulfilment partner.

Any returns made under the distance selling act must be made by a similar signed for method at the customers expense. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase and would like to return it please start by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with your return details and we will walk you through what we need you to do to get the process going.
Any returns must be sent 1st class via Royal Mail. The customer must pay for the return postage costs, which will be refunded once the goods have been received by 1 STEP COLOUR.
Once the parcel has been received, a full postal refund will be given via the payment method. We aim to process all refunds within 24 hours of receiving the return.
We offer a 30-day returns window from receipt of goods. Upon receiving goods, any customer has 30 days to notify us that they wish to send back an item or items. Once notified we will honour any return within the following 2 weeks.
Once a return item has been received by our staff we will refund the customer within 48 hours via the appropriate payment method.
Please remember that all deliveries require a signature on receipt. Please use an alternative email address if you won't be around to receive your order.
